Devarim 2023

This Parsha is full of convoluted, mind numbing questions that have remained unanswered for millennia. It addresses several key elements of Israel’s past after their leaving Egypt, yet overlooks others. The Parsha begins by citing the location of Moshe’s final dissertation to Israel as they prepare to cross the Jordan River into the Promised Land. It is in fact, in the vicinity of Mt. Horeb where the Commandments were given and we’re told it is only 11-days from here to the Promised Land. This means that Israel has come full circle: 40-years of wandering has brought them back to their beginning!
