BeShalach/”When He Sent Away”, Exodus 13:17-17:16 is the official “exodus” from Egypt!  Yet as hindsight is 20/20, it is very clear that the physical leaving from Egypt is much easier and quicker than the slave mindset of Israel being renewed, a requirement prior to being given access to their inheritance!  In fact, it seems the wilderness experience is designed to prepare you for the position, authority, responsibility, and accountability that will come with what Yahweh has promised you.
